Voz Sobre – (Morales)

«Voice over» – Martin Rosete
«Voice Over» is a Spanish short written by Luis Berdejo and directed by Martin Rosete. The film was released in 2011. The film presents three extreme situations of real life in which the narrative tells and explains in detail every situation.
In each situation described by the voiceover, the main character is struggling to make a life – altering task that seems almost impossible. Each situation is expressed to be counted down to a matter of a few minutes or the fatal tragedy happen. Every second that passes through the character is forced to keep moving or will forever be the man who achieved something.
In the first scene, the astronaut is running through space due to an abandoned capsule. Only three minutes to find his boat crashed or run out of air. Halfway on their journey to find the ship, a creature crawling on his suit and is making things difficult for him to think clearly. The second scene, the main character is a wounded soldier without legs because his fellow soldier stepping on a landmine. It is dark, rainy, and set in the period of the First World War. He faces the task of launching a wire tap, but the real problem is getting there without legs. In the third scenario, the main character is underwater because the ship sank. It is tied to the boat because a rope tied around her ankle; He must be freed. It is not only tied the boat is lying on the edge of a cliff and if it falls submarine will take you down with him. Just seconds before you’re out of breath and begins to choke.
In the last scene, the voiceover explains that it was all just the imagination of a boy and seconds leading up to their first kiss. The main message behind the story is that if the child kissed the girl, to be known as the kid who did not kiss her. He would be remembered as the child the opportunity to «survive» as the characters in each scenario was lost.
Personally, actually I liked the film. It was amazing how intense the movie was and how well each scene was played. I recommend it to anyone interested in short films to see the film. The narrator’s voice made the film also much more intense.
